This time Sayyiduna Jibra'eel عَـلَـيْهِ الـصَّلٰوةُ وَالـسَّلَام has set aside much effort to come to you? The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: Why should he not deferral as you [people] lounging around me don't utilize Miswak, cut nails, trim mustache and clean the underlying foundations of your fingers.

10 virtues of Miswak 


Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی عَـنْـهُمَا has described: There are 10 temperances of Miswak: It cleans the mouth, reinforces the gums, fortifies the vision, eliminates mucus, eliminates terrible breath; it is as per the Sunnah; the holy messengers become cheerful; Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ gets satisfied; it expands ideals and reestablish the stomach to wellbeing. Sayyiduna Imam-e-A'zam Abu Hanifah Nu'man Bin Saabit رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ has described: 'اِنَّ السِّوَاکَ مِنۡ سُنَنِ الدِّیۡنِ' Miswak is from the Sunnahs of Islam. 

('Umdat-ul-Qari, vol. 6, pp. 261, Hadees 887)
